Getting Started

DevForge works out of the box — no setup, no account, no internet connection required. Simply open the app, select a tool from the sidebar, and start working.

On iPhone, all tools are listed in a scrollable list. On iPad and Mac, use the sidebar to navigate between tools. Star any tool to add it to your Favorites section at the top.

Tool Overview

• JSON Formatter — Paste JSON and get it pretty-printed. Switch to Tree View for interactive exploration.
• Base64 — Encode or decode text. Toggle URL-safe mode for web-safe output.
• Hash Generator — Choose MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, or SHA-512 and hash any input.
• JWT Decoder — Paste a JWT token to see its header, payload, and expiry status.
• Regex Tester — Write a pattern, paste your text, and see all matches and capture groups highlighted live.
• Timestamp Converter — Convert Unix timestamps to human-readable dates and back.
• AES Encryption — Encrypt or decrypt text with AES-128, 192, or 256 using CBC or GCM mode.
• Color Picker — Pick or enter a color and get HEX, RGB, HSB, HSL, SwiftUI, and UIColor code snippets.
• Diff Checker — Paste two texts to see added and removed lines highlighted side by side.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does DevForge require an internet connection?

No. All tools run entirely on your device. DevForge works fully offline.

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. Text, code, or any data you enter into a tool never leaves your device. Only anonymous usage analytics (which tool was opened) are collected via Firebase Analytics.

How do I add a tool to Favorites?

On iPhone, tap the star icon on any tool row. On iPad and Mac, tap or hover over a tool in the sidebar and tap the star that appears next to it.

What is the difference between Free and Pro?

The free version includes all core tool features. Pro (one-time purchase) unlocks bulk operations, history, and export capabilities.

How do I restore my Pro purchase?

Go to Settings inside the app and tap "Restore Purchases". Your Pro status will be restored if you have a previous purchase on the same Apple ID.

The formatter is not producing the expected output. What should I check?

Make sure the input is valid for the selected format. For JSON, the input must be valid JSON. For XML, it must be well-formed XML. Invalid input will show an error message below the input field.
