SpamSlap

Overview

SpamSlap ("the App") is a call blocking and SMS filtering application for iOS. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

In short: SpamSlap does not collect, store, or share any personal data.

Data We Do Not Collect

SpamSlap does not access, collect, or transmit any of the following:

• Your contacts or address book
• Your call history or call logs
• Your text messages or SMS content
• Your phone number
• Your location data
• Your photos, files, or any other personal content
• Any personally identifiable information (PII)

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is created by you and stored only on your device. It is never transmitted to any server:

• Call blocking rules: Number patterns and rule names you create
• SMS filter rules: Sender names and keywords you add
• App preferences: Your settings and Premium status

This data is stored using the app's local storage and shared App Group container (for communication between the main app and its extensions). It remains entirely on your device.

Call Blocking Extension

SpamSlap uses the iOS CallKit Call Directory Extension to block phone numbers. The blocking rules you create are provided to iOS through this system extension. Apple processes call blocking locally on your device — no call data is sent to SpamSlap or any third party.

SMS Filtering Extension

SpamSlap uses the iOS IdentityLookup Message Filter Extension to filter SMS messages. When an SMS arrives from an unknown sender, iOS passes the sender information and message content to the extension for evaluation. This processing happens entirely on your device. SpamSlap does not read, store, or transmit the content of your messages.

Analytics

SpamSlap uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data such as:

• App opens and screen views
• Feature usage events (e.g., "rule added")
• App version and device model

This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally. No personal information, phone numbers, blocking rules, or message content is included in analytics data.

In-App Purchases

SpamSlap offers a Premium upgrade through Apple's In-App Purchase system. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. SpamSlap does not collect or have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase Analytics (Google): Anonymous usage analytics. Privacy Policy
• Apple StoreKit: In-App Purchase processing. Privacy Policy

No other third-party services, SDKs, or advertising networks are used.

Children's Privacy

SpamSlap does not knowingly collect any personal data from children under the age of 13. The App does not require account creation or any personal information to function.

Data Retention & Deletion

Since all user-created data (blocking rules, filter rules, preferences) is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. Deleting the App from your device permanently removes all associated data. There is no server-side data to delete.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
